Hey, for Carolina's birthday we are making a big ol' magnetic chalk board (funded by Biggie G and Grammy Susan) and as I am not sure of the nutritional values or detriments of chalk, we are are going to bypass the chalk aspect of a magnetic chalk board and stick (get it) with the magnets for a little while. Our original thought was to put up pictures of friends and family (which we will still do), but as this idea has been evolving, Carolina's vocabulary and interests have expanded and we thought about how cool it would be to make a bunch of magnets with things she is learning about (i.e. animals, plants, birds etc). So i started drawing a cow and well, it is done (more or less), six hours later. I now see we are not going to have many magnets if i sit and draw them all, but... I was wondering if any of my overly creative friends/family wanted to take a diversion from their normal going ons to donate a drawing, doodle, or photograph that lends itself to the glorious medium of MAGNET. I'm printing these on magnet paper so anything sent electronically or posted to the blog would be spectacular. Obviously this is optional and we don't want to force this but we would love it if Carolina has things from all of our closest friends/families. Whatever you would want to do would be great and it doesn't need to be a masterpiece--a major theme at this point is animals but we certainly don't want to limit our daughter's learning. Any and all children submissions can be given in paper form (to be scanned) and we will make a duplicate for them. Thank you for any and all participation.
